The movie tells the story of UMA, played by Alexandra Braun, who lives in Italy and meets a writer, interpreted by the also Venezuelan actor Orlando Delgado. There’s is an inexplicable chemistry between both, which would later become a love story that springs up on the wonderful coasts of Gaeta, until crossing the beautiful land of Florence. Latino Thought Makers is a groundbreaking, live series developed by Latinologues, Inc. for the Georgia Latino Film Festival in order to engage, entertain and educate audiences, developed first to give the next generation an opportunity to hear from film and tv actors, directors and executives. At the helm of the show is comedian and award-winning writer-director-author-speaker Rick Najera Senior VP Diversity, CBS

The show features a live, sit-down interview on stage with host Rick Najera and his network of influential Latinos in Hollywood including Edward James Olmos, Luis Guzman, Esai Morales, the Cesar Chavez family, the cast of Hulu’s East Los High, Grammy award-winning musicians Quetzal, and many more.

This year we will celebrate the picture that started it all. “Ladron Que Roba Ladron”. This comedy of Two former thieves reunite to rob the biggest thief they know — Moctesuma Valdez, a TV infomercial guru who’s made millions selling worthless health products to poor Latino immigrants. When none of their affiliates want to go undercover as day laborers to pull off the heist, the two men turn to the real thing for help.

Award-winning filmmaker Joe Menendez is a multi-genre veteran of drama, action, horror, Sci-Fi, comedy, family and rom-com. His numerous and varied credits show that he is a skilled craftsman and an accomplished, versatile storyteller in both TV and Film.

Menendez has directed episodes of the one hour dramas 12 Monkeys (2015), for SyFy, Queen of the South (2016) for USA Network, From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series (2014) for Robert Rodriguez’s El Rey Network, and the anthology series 12 Deadly Days (2016) which was produced by Blumhouse for YouTube Red. Read More on John
